Although Americans probably don’t realize it, they get some of the lowest priced food in the world. This is both a blessing and a curse it seems since our budgets all too easily allow for frequent dinners out, late night snacks, and mindless eating. Keep in mind there are countries of people who wouldn’t even understand the phrase “mindless eating”. Even so, I’ve never known just how cheap our food is, until I watched this comparison.
Maybe this explains why America was the first country to struggle with nation-wide weight gain. Although we don’t offer everything the cheapest, we do have the overall cheapest diets. That’s definitely part of the problem.
After last week, be good to each other.
